People are at the heart of everything we do. Our work depends on a vibrant community of birdwatchers, volunteers, landowners, schools and supporters who share a passion for protecting wildlife. By bringing people together, we create lasting impact for birds and for the landscapes they rely on.
We help individuals deepen their connection with nature by offering opportunities to learn, take part and make a difference. From submitting bird records and joining field trips to participating in conservation projects across Sussex. Through talks, guided walks and educational outreach, we empower people of all ages to discover birds, understand the challenges they face, and become active stewards of their environment.
We also collaborate closely with local organisations, conservation partners and decision-makers, ensuring that the voices of both people and wildlife are heard. By sharing knowledge, supporting communities and celebrating a shared love of birds, we build a stronger, more informed network working together for a richer natural world.
